OPPORTUNITY
The Manufacturing Engineering Electrical Integration Team which is responsible for the managements of the Vehicle Configuration and Test System, all electrical activities involved in the launching of new vehicles and improvement electrical performance in the plant.
This Engineering role is will require you to work as part of a multi-skilled team of Engineers who will be responsible for the implementation /delivery of new programmes and testing strategies into JLR Plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working as part of a multi skilled team of Electrical Integration Engineers (Coders, Testers, Launch Engineers and Electrical specialist).
• As part of a team responsible for the Planning, design and implementation of new models.
• Managing deliverables so that they are compliant with programme milestones and supporting senior Engineer reviews.
• Supporting technical strategy reviews with Engineering to define new Test Strategies with Engineering Teams and upfront VCATS Planning teams.
• Provide support to the manufacturing team for the prompt resolution of vehicle test issues.
• Working alongside durings software development and implementation activities.

Požiadavky
CANDIDATE
Essential:
• Strong understanding of Vehicle Diagnostics in particular DOIP.
• Ability to code and implement tests using the Test Authoring tools to a high standard.
• Competant level understanding of software applications and computer networks in particular the architecture of the VCATS Test System.
• Experience of integrated vehicle electrical test systems and strategies.
• VCATS test requirements generation understanding.
• Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience of manufacturing plant floor systems.
• Ability to implement problem solving skills such Six Sigma, Green Belt Training, PFEMA and DFMEA at a minimum.
• Appropriate level of self management.
• Understanding of FCIMS, AIMS2, WERS, GSPAS, Alerts and IVS or equipvalent.
• Availability to travel to within Europe to support development during new projects.
• Strong grasp of English Language is required.
Desirable:
• Ability to programme in C and Java
• Understanding of Databases such as SQL.
• SAP and GE MES Experience
• Agile and Waterfall software development methodology
• Prince 2 & PMP
